Residential House for Unique Things Design
This design is contributed to respect the traditional culture and to accept the thinking of Western Cultures. The entire design has used various components to present Chinese Anterior design elements, such as the toughness of rattan, the boldness of woods, and the symbol of white marble which represents the landscape of China; and, it has cooperated with the geometric concept of square and circle in it. To well combine both Chinese elements and Western Design is the key to search for the peace between living space and western vibration in eastern calmness.

At the entrance, an image of Chinese arches is created with a grid design. In the ironwork, delicate humanistic style is exhibited by door screens and bookcase doors, which are made of traditional Chinese hand-made bamboo weaving art combined with western ironwork craftsmanship. For the space, the doors of cabinets in the room are all 2.9 meters high. Since the general Taiwan floor height of 3 meters, a strong sense of space is thus created.
New China,Vigorousness
The bamboo sticks are woven with cotton ropes at intervals of 3 mm. Further, based on the desired size, a titanium-plated stainless steel iron pipe of 2 cm is used as a frame, and the braided bamboo fixed in the frame becomes a screen and a bookcase door. The braided bamboo frame of the screen shows a sense of layering through the geometric stacking. Using the light in the bookcase brings an effect of the Collection of cabinet. The combination of the regeneration of traditional craftsmanship with different materials reflects the traditional Chinese craftsmanship as well as western modernity.
he image of color and the regeneration of traditional craftsmanship are used to replace the original Chinese style of carved beams and painted rafters, which lacks vitality. Under the restrictions of the floor height of Taiwan apartment buildings, the magnificent Chinese style is to be reflected.
The project finished in October 2019 in Taipei, Taiwan.
With more than 5,000 years of history and humanities, the Chinese style has the exquisite and irresistible charm. Abiding by the principle of "emphasis on meaning instead of form," the designer uses the basic colors of Chinese traditional paintings in splash ink landscapes which are the black, white, indigo and blue, as the color of Chinese style elements. Further, the combination with details such as iron pieces and lighting provides the overall space with both Chinese as well as modern sense.
