Home is a space that honestly reflects the characteristics of the dwellers. we tried to make flexible arrangements, allowing for different modes of activities. The overall design is based on the concept of the dining room serving as the axis of the home. Thus, we want to create a sculpture for the dining area that would serve as a storage container, as well the core and focus of the home.

YII design want to create a sculpture for the dining area that would serve as a storage container, as well the core and focus of the home. As a result, the designer attempted to create a spatial object partially open and partially solid, shaped with an angular iron piece integrated with stone and woodworks. The metal part may also serve as a support for flower vases or photo frames. The embedded sliding-shelf-door in the middle may also be used as storage in the dining room.

The flooring in the public area and parts of the wall were to remain unchanged. As a result, this required more consideration into the design and construction. Another challenge was to present a modern style without losing the warmth of a home.
The project finished on July in 2020, locates in New Taipei City. Completed in July 2020, the project is located in New Taipei City.
Within the space, the overall design is based on the concept of the dining room serving as the axis of the home. YII design used some cold, square elements, such as stone and iron, to emphasize the characteristic of a modern style. To balance this effect with soft furnishing, the designer selected items with soft lines and bright colors to maintain a warm and homey style. The thematic colors, multiple decorations, and guiding light belts all these elements added artistry and warmth to the space.
Gray stones, iron works and woodworks are be using to harmonize the black and white modern elements, creating the unique spatial choreography of modern design.
Home is a space that honestly reflects the characteristics of the dwellers. Since the husband-wife owners prefer a modern style that also encompasses the comforts of home, YII design created a warm contemporary space that brings out the elegance of the wife and the low-key, steady character of the husband. In addition, in the common area, YII tried to make flexible arrangements, allowing for different modes of activities, such as a resting area vs. a dining area, to provide the users various possibilities in using the space.
