The line of circular arc is applied in space in great quantities, clever and elegant, endless flowing lines are just like the gentle coastline of Wanning, which also echoes the architectural appearance characteristics. Large glass surfaces bring the picturesque landscape inside, the designer intentionally blurs the boundaries of each space and creates a continuous and homogeneous open interface, creating a simple and comfortable environment like the space of an art gallery.

Unique Properties

The interior design uses simple and flowing lines to outline the space, and uses the decorative technique of cruise ship doors to divide and reorganize the space. The concept of smooth and smart cruise ship continues the interior lines, textures, materials and shapes, just like riding a boat carrying people trying to reach those vast places in the world.

Production Technology

With the monsoon-tropical climate, Hainan Island is rich in natural resources. The designer chose wood grain aluminum plate as the material of the wall and ceiling. On the one hand, it can be flame-retardant and moisture-proof, on the other hand, it reflects the integration with the natural landscape.

Design Challenge

Based on the concept of inheriting the natural charm of the former fishing village, designers chose to use sandstone, granite, wood and crushed stones, etc. as major materials, retained the marks of the past.

Project Duration

The project started in September 2019 in Wanning and finished in May 2020 in Wanning.

Operation Flow

Jazz white stone and stainless steel surface are selected for the service desk to create a sparkling spatial visual sense. Ceiling breaks the dullness in the form of curve division, makes the indoor structure more changeable and layered, and displays the elements of cruise ships in multiple ways.

Research

Various distinctive artworks were used to decorate the sales center, such as the wooden bench in the corridor, which were all made of warm-toned woods, injecting vitality to the space. Lighting in the space was designed with appropriate color temperature, which created a friendly atmosphere for communication.

Inspiration

The designer combines the natural geographical advantages with Wanning's unique cultural attributes, ingeniously integrates the elements of the cruise ship into the indoor environment, and reorganizes the best moving line design in a limited space. Breaking through the inherent impression of traditional sales offices, the narrative method is adopted in the design, taking the concept of cruise ship as a starting point, and integrating architecture, landscape and interior design.
