Unique Properties

Once you enter the space, you will be impressed by the 6m tall tree, welcoming you, As a spiritual theme of natural gathering.The radial arrangement of various and different seats creates various forms of free gathering.The creation of planting makes the indoor space like the outdoor.Through the green scenery of the backyard and the front yard, the connection of the green box of the ceiling allows the green to dance freely everywhere. With the space arrangement, we like to break up urban people cold relationship into a space that people could talk, eat, work, play, and heal in physical and emotionally.

Design Challenge

First challenge is limited of time ,it's only takes one months to finish design and construction.Secondly, it's difficult to balance the economic benefits and aesthetically atmosphere. By full-fill the seatings and movement flow, keeping the nature form of seating was one challenge during the design progression.

Project Duration

Completion: November, 2020 Taiwan, ROC, Taipei, Neihu District.

Operation Flow

The project plans to create a unique restaurant bar in the heart of Taipei-city, Taiwan.The name of GumGum was the inspired by our partner that starting the business which want to make our client feel nature, relax, and intimate.The project would like to be a translation of the value into the brand identity, also physical expression of integrity that become our business propositions

Research

The location of the base is in the Neihu Science Park, which is surrounded by many high-tech company office. On the contrary, it is a big challenge for our second one due to it a critical and competitive area of restaurant in Taipei. the space design is one of our main idea to present our GumGum characteristic in the field. Instead of traditional restaurant layout in design, we choose to break up the usual form of seating experience. That inspired us to defined our personality ,also combine new dining experience and outdoor feel to client.

Inspiration

Design development was inspired characteristics of the site environment and the original personality of a GumGum Group. Using the combination to create a space with nature, real, relax and also free.

Let it be Gum Restaurant Bar has been a Bronze winner in the Interior Space and Exhibition Design award category in the year 2021 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Bronze A' Design Award is given to outstanding designs that showcase a high degree of creativity and practicality.
