Apartment Renovation for MUKA ARCHITECTS
The design mainly focuses on simple techniques, emphasizing space and psychological feelings. Pay attention to the design of space transformation and movement lines, as well as the unified connotation and life philosophy of the living space. The space of The Bund Micro Apartment Renovation is composed of specific order and functions. The simple and straight lines make the space of order and strength, while the soft light and wood grain soften the entire space, making it warm and bright, suitable for room and livability.

Birch board is a commonly used building material with high-quality properties and is a material that owners and designers like very much. The birch board with unique texture and soft color, combined with a large area of white, makes the space still bright and spacious even if there is only one window, and the local matte black embellishment adds a calm temperament.
The metal that appears as a line in the space has encountered a great test in the construction. It is not easy to make the metal thin enough with the existing construction ability and need to bear enough strength without deforming, and the handling of the junction between the metals is also a difficult point. However, our obsession with slender and straight metal and the requirement for concealed edges at the junction make the on-site construction extremely difficult.
The project started in January 2020 in Shanghai and finished in August 2020 in Shanghai.
Communicate the needs with the owner in the early stage, understand the owner's personality and living habits, whether there are special design needs, etc. After entering the scene to feel the actual situation of the space, and then began to design. The architect owner likes minimalism, likes clean lines and neat and orderly order, and hopes that the home can have enough study and work space and a lot of storage space.
Work has gradually become the center of life of urban people, so can work and life be perfectly integrated? We hope to find a home space suitable for people living alone in the city, so that people can live and work together, reduce the frequency of overtime, increase the length of home stay, and improve the quality of life.
The work of a designer is always closely related to life, and it is necessary to study and work at all times. In order to facilitate long hours of work, the office space has begun to live. So if we integrate the work space into our lives, will it reduce the frequency of people working overtime and improve the quality of life?
