Hair Salon for Moon Space Design
Hardware is structured to create a facade look for the modern metropolis design, using a simple modern style to divide the appearance that makes a light and transparent visual sense. The polished mirrors have spread out brightness towards the area, creating a texture of modern and simplicity. As for the urban gentlemen and the socialites, a mature and steady deep-blue color and a soft and elegant light-pink color are applied as the theme of the rooms; with the lattices and black linear outlining, a sense of modern and a rhythm of visual has created.

With precise words of the designer, the client original hardware and glass materials are paired and redesigned with several new-added materials that outlined the space linear and echoed with the concept of the (forest paths.) Four design areas are divided: the public area and three boxes for salon use with different styles. To correspond with the client service purpose of the high-end hair salon, designed boxes named the (urban gentlemen,) the (socialites,) and the (modern metropolis) are created along with the hardware, glasses, and mirror materials that added the sense of texture.

According to the space observation, the designer came up with the (cabin in the woods) prototype. To fulfill the client spatial expectations of (metropolis fashion), which every high-end hair salon contains, the designer must get rid of the concrete, wooden house appearance; instead, precise angle calculations and construction methods are applied with black hardware to outline linear. The elements created a three-dimensional design and have delivered the (cabin in the woods) with an abstractive and reinterpreted style.
The project finished in March 2020 in Taiwan.
For the entrance design, the designer pieced ironware and light-glass materials to create lightness and transparency; it also echoes with the design concept of the cabin in the woods by merging daylight with the indoor traffic flow and the light-toned interior colors to create a peaceful vibe. Meanwhile, the spacious traffic flow of the entrance has also allowed customers to walk in and out freely; when it is raining outside, users are also able to drive their cars into the hallway, and visit the counter or the salon boxes across the driveway, bringing both aesthetic and functionality.
The public area applied light color tones as the color theme, while light hardware is used to create non-equilateral solid geometries. A few inclined turnings are also applied to the hallway design; pure pebbles and greenery plants spread out wind and natural forest path. Mature and steady cold colors and soft, elegant light-pink colors are applied to the salon boxes; by combining materials that are in between virtual and real, such as mirrors and hardware, three themes: (urban gentlemen), the (socialites), and the (modern metropolis) are divided and created.
This project is a high-end salon space located in Taichung City. To create an overall sense of peace, natural and exquisite, the designer applied (forest paths) as the central concept; black hardware is used to outline the abstractive lines and create an abstract appearance of a fashionable (cabin in the woods.) Meanwhile, pure-white pebbles and greenery plantings are decorated aside to elaborate a relaxing and natural forest hallway. The glasses and mirrors have lightened the changes of shadows and lights through reflections, giving a sense of vividness into the space.
