Library for Feng I-Ming
This is a new library for an old community. In order to provide the community with a center where people can meet and read and unite the people of the community to work together for a new life, this library will become a new symbol of the community. The concept and impression of the design comes from the sunset over the sea. The sunlight outside during the daytime shines through the orange tinted glass and brings a romantic feeling to the whole space under the curved structure.

Operation Flow
The design process of this project is to pay attention to the floor structure of the two-storey building, how to create a strong relationship between the new metal structure and the old building structure after the destruction of the old floor structure.
Research
The design should have a clear impression and theme (sunset on the sea), how to transform the impression into an abstract shape, color is the key to retain the design concept and impression, in the space will not become a pure imitation of the natural impression.
Inspiration
During a trip to the seaside, we enjoyed the beauty of the sunset and the breeze. Therefore, in the design of the library in this old community, we feel the gradual aging of the community but it shows an indescribable beauty, just like the beauty of the sunset, so the source of inspiration for the design.

Impression of the Sunset by the Sea Library has been a Bronze winner in the Interior Space and Exhibition Design award category in the year 2021 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition.
