Historical and Cultural Block for Zhejiang University Urban-Planning & Design Institute Co,.Ltd.
Lu Xun, known as Mark Twain of China, was a great humanitarian writer advocating intellectual liberation and spiritual freedom. The renewal of his hometown not only refines the design of spaces but also cares about the interests of multiple groups, ensures social equity, and preserves the local lifestyle. The design is inspired by the texture of traditional Chinese waterfront towns and cities. It restores the traditional scenes by restoring waterways for black awning boats, historical streets and alleys, bridges, and old names of places.
