The owner loves the elegance and luxury of the hotel space and also cares about the ease of maintenance of the decoration materials, so he wants to express a low-key and elegant style without marble. Thus, the designer lays a steady atmosphere with dark brown glass and wood skin, and the stretch cloth and titanium plating metal as the main me tope material, to create an atmosphere of grace for the space.
Interior, Design, Residential, Hotel
The designer takes the wallpaper, iron pieces, titanium plated metal, Bolon carpet and other elements, to show the hotel style restrained grand, elegant and comfortable atmosphere. At the same time, in the design of the ceiling, the arc shaped ceiling lifts the height and weakens the presence of beam in the dining area, and the skillful use of the height difference of the ceiling hides the suspended air conditioner into the space perfectly.
How to decorate the abrupt beam of the living room area and dining area, is the thorny problem that the designer faces after entering the space. To solve this problem, the designer echoes the design technique of the entryway area ceiling, lifts the ceiling height firstly, and then makes the exquisite arc ceiling outline, to decorate the beam that has an oppressive feeling, which also sets off with the steady and simple spatial fundamental tone.
The project started in March 2021 and finished in February 2022 in Kaohsiung.
Since the two children of owners are small, the designer makes the open commodity shelf of arched and pointy geometrical models in the game room specially, to add some child interests for the space. However, the designer also specially designs the arched and peaked model laminate in a detachable way, when the children grow up, it can be taken down and become a general storage shelf. Such ingenuity makes the house an organic space to accompany the family as time goes by.
In order to avoid lowering the ceiling height for installing the homeowner preferred hidden suspended air conditioner, which will bring oppressive feeling for the space, the designer makes the high and low difference for the ceiling of the living room, and sets the air conditioner in the low layer, pertinently hiding the air conditioner into the space, and with the technique of wood skin covering the column beside the window to store the air ducts.
The 290 square meters new residence in Kaohsiung is a new home for a couple and their two sons. The husband and wife, who often travel and stay in various hotels, want to feel as if they are in a hotel at home. Therefore, the designer re-plans the layout to create a living room and study space suitable for parents and children, and outlines a steady and luxurious "hotel style" space with stable earth color and wallpaper, stretch cloth, iron pieces, and titanium plating metal.
