Residence for Triple men design studio
Color blocks of different color scales are staggered in the area, and the minimal design concept emphasizes Zen. The design team only used color uniformity to present the texture of the material, restoring the space to its original form. In addition to the minimalist color tone, the residential function also tends to be minimalistic. For example, the TV wall is made by using the space of beams. Meanwhile, the design team used dark wood veneer to cover the beams so that the presence of the projection screen would not be too inconspicuous and complete the theme of the area.

The project is based on 'Zen' with a modern and industrial style to create a tranquil space with a humanistic charm. The design team adopted open bar shelving and concealed cabinets to reduce the excessive volume of the space and satisfy the living needs. As for the building materials, they all have the same color tone. Paint, plaster, glass, terrazzo, titanium plating, etc. each have different refractions and can create a variety of visual effects. The ceiling is designed with a curved shape. On the one hand, it can reduce the pressure of the ceiling, and on the other hand, it can make the lighting evenly diffuse.
Zen, dark tone, terrazzo, wood grain, mix and match.
Building materials: plaster, spray paint, water-rippled glass, light-colored terrazzo dining table, titanium plated metal, dark wood grain veneer, grille, iron parts, gray terrazzo facade, laminate flooring, system cabinets, stone plastic composite, etc. The ceilings and floors are in the same tone but with different textures. The building materials have different reflections, thus creating a variety of visual effects. Overall, the project features common building materials to create a subtle textural ambiance.
The project space had large beams and disorganized fire ducts, which would occupy most of the ceiling space and reduce the original height. However, if all the ceiling ducts are wrapped up, the design will be consistent but there will be oppressive. Therefore, the design team planned a curved turn in the ceiling to echo the design of the facade, hide the pipes, and express the height of the original base.
The project finished in April 2022 in Taiwan.
Zen is no boundaries. The open-plan public space is fully functional. The living room is also different from the standard, with only a sofa to express the theme. There is only relaxation and self-awareness in the space, which coincides with the theme of each space. The design team made use of a beam to set up a projection screen to meet the necessary functional requirements of the house and the design theme.
The design team injects modern elements into the Zen space while maintaining calmness in the mix of styles. The grilles are slightly decorative in the American style, while the plaster pattern reveals an industrial style. The color tone of the building materials is the same. The design team used the refraction of different materials to create a unique visual effect. The different color tones in different spaces symbolize the change of boundaries on the one hand, and on the other hand, they are more in line with the transformation of the state of mind of the public and private areas.
The design team brought the silent beauty of Zen into the space through colors and materials. The dark tone is complemented by the texture of the wood grain, while the light tone is matched with the brightness of the terrazzo. Both the dark wood veneer and terrazzo have a distinctive natural texture. The design team eliminated the complicated design and made the texture the highlight of the space. The final touches of minimalist lines and industrial style present a delicate residence with a modern humanistic charm and Japanese Zen style.
