Residential for Przemyslaw Cepielik
Beyond Straight Line. The concept of form and shape, rediscovers curved furniture. An apartment within an area of 66 m2. It is divided into two distinct zones. Thanks to the rational division of functions, the architect gives the impression of a perfectly designed living space and night space. The general open space, the non-standard treatment of passages between zones, resignation from conventional doors invite you to go further. The Architect chose materials like Khalo stone, fabrics and furniture boards that give a natural feel. All allowed to create an original and elegant interior.

The project was carried out in a modern apartment building, where the outer walls of which run along a large ellipse diameter. Which was the initial inspiration to approach with simple, smooth, soft lines and oval shapes, warm soft colors and especially well-designed subtle lighting. Soft transition from public to private space, resignation from conventional doors. The Architect handles the light as a very important component of this project. All allowed to create original and elegant interior.

A general combination of form and shapes rediscovers curved furnitures. The Architect applied Khalo stone, fabrics and furniture boards that give a fabric feel. The smoothness of forms obtained with mdf furniture. The designed lighting is based on hidden busbar systems, without rim light eyelets. All furniture, except for the armchair, was custom-made. Pocket doors system completely hide household appliances. The division of functions, is carried out with a set of furniture.
By requesting an original second house or apartment in the city, the investor provides a fantastic opportunity to depart from traditional space division. The Architect was able to clean the initial space division and hide the structural elements, shapes, which didn't match the concept shapes. The interior was carefully furnished. Even in open spaces, each area is clearly defined, increasing the efficiency of the use of the area. The challenge was to hide all appliances and necessary wardrobes.
The project began its design in 2020, its construction started in Cracow, Poland, in 2021 and was officially completed in March 2022.
Thanks to the rational division of functions, the architect gives the impression of a perfectly designed living space. The general open space, the non-standard passages between zones, and the lack of typical doors invite you to go further, tempting you to penetrate the interior. This allows you to feel the harmony that prevails in the interior, shows the pursuit of a natural balance of peace and stability, emphasizing the sense of simplicity and comfort by combining the zones as a whole.
We managed to create a warm, harmonious interior design, subtly, restrained lighting, a consistently designed functional layout in line with the idea of creating a gentle curve, a soft transition from public to private space, resignation from conventional doors. Designing interiors dominated by a curved line requires special design sensitivity. Use of sublime curves and absolute radius change control.
The presented project was designed on the basis of the given space in building without "edges". Wanting to create something unique, we felt that it required from us to have a light form, open space, delicate colors and an appropriate selection of materials that would allow us to implement our ideas technologically. Everything is served in a generally young, fresh atmosphere. The reception of a very warm atmosphere, which, despite its modern and bold form, transforms this block into a home.
