The design team has asked to design a Customer Service Centre for Ajinomoto's new factory in Bandar Enstek Halal Hub, Negeri Sembilan in conjunction with its 60th Anniversary in Malaysia. The new smart factory is integrated with advanced technology which consists of an Infoseum, Auditorium, Cooking Studio, Hands-on Lab, and Presentation Room to engage with all range of customers. Infoseum was created to provide a futuristic journey to present Ajinomoto corporate information.

Ajinomoto Malaysia Berhad has officially opened its new factory in Bandar Enstek Halal Hub, Negeri Sembilan in conjunction with its 60th Anniversary in Malaysia. It will demonstrate the whole new brand image to the public eyes with the new customer engagement centre. The new factory is a smart factory and certified Green Building. Advanced technology that optimizes operations through automation and digitalization is incorporated to improve efficiency and productivity.
Interior Design, Experience, Customer Engagement Centre, Cooking Studio, Factory
The design team introduced a 3000mm height x 4800mm width LED video wall as a welcoming feature to greet the employees and visitors. It could visually engage with people before entering into the Infoseum. Projection mapping with sound system are integrated as part of the customer experience journey.
Corporate branding, customer experience and safety are the highest priority for this project. The design team deep dived into Ajinomoto history milestones, product and technology information and the methodology to create a seamless experience journey for the visitors. There are multiple discussions with stakeholders and business units to achieve the final outcome where able to showcase Ajinomoto spirit to their audience.
The project design started in July 2021 and construction finished in November 2022 at Bandar Enstek Halal Hub, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia.
By combining future essentials into every day lifestyle needs. Our design approach aligned with Ajinomoto vision to co-create value together with customer. There are several interactive spaces created to engage with visitors from the touch down area with a large LED video wall, leading through the tunnel into the history of Ajinomoto, corporate services and products. An interacting cooking session with visitors to have self experience with the Umami taste happen in the cooking studio.
Ajinomoto is rich in history. Creating new values, enhancing life and social contribution is part of the company mission. The design team continue to follow the purity of one of the Japanese fundamental philosophy of life ikigai where everything have its own purpose. The space design reflects effective, reliable, reconnect and elevate to demonstrate Ajinomoto encouraging achievement. Digital information was introduced through various interactive technology embedded within the space. Using clean and linear lines to resemble the idea of Ajinomoto to always be focus on the vision and mission to the people and to the society.
In the new Ajinomoto CEC, we captured the poetic movements of the sugarcanes that waves in the wind when it brushes through the tips. This is our statement made at the entrance of the Infoseum, where it located strategically at the lobby. We focus in creating dynamic space movement experience for visitors. At the same time, we continue to follow the purity of one of the Japanese fundamental philosophy of life Ikigai where everything have its own purpose.
