Residence for C9 Design
The vertical and horizontal portions of the space retain a comfortable extension, creating a grand scale in each area. The design is people oriented, so there is no need to stick to the framework of home. The light gray scheme is decorated with gold leaf, glass, and titanium plating, allowing people to feel the dynamic aesthetics. The project focuses on functionality, using interlacing techniques such as lines and layers, complemented by stone and wood to form a variety of shapes while emphasizing consistency, ultimately creating a majestic look.

The ceiling is high. To strengthen the sense of spaciousness, the design team built an upright glass block in the foyer to create a light-transmitting but private effect and to present a three-dimensional vision. The storage area next to the dining table has a duplex-like function. The installation of glass panels on the partitions prevents children from falling. The design team demonstrated "gathering" on the ceiling. The public area is planned according to the ceiling height for the living and dining rooms, and the geometric shape can satisfy the piping and achieve a vertical enlargement effect.
High ceilings, open plan, grayscale, neutral tone, glass tiles, duplex, modern style.
Building materials: slab tiles, glass tiles, moru glass, iron parts, special paint, titanium-plated trim, woodwork, tiles, etc. Glass tiles in the foyer are a common material used in interior design. However, to build a structurally sound wall, a reinforcement structure must be used in the brick joints. This is a tedious and laborious process that must be completed at once, different from the new type of glass bricks. The project's unique edge-to-edge glass blocks are stacked in layers to create a new visual effect.
The most common building materials in the space are slab tiles, which are large in size and take time and labor to transport. In addition, the layout is significantly changed, including the drainage of the toilet and bathroom, so the site structure had to be considered and Feng-Shui had to be satisfied. In the end, the design team planned the perfect direction and traffic flow to provide a comfortable and spacious home for the family.
The project finished in June 2022 in Taiwan.
The clients are satisfied with the different atmospheres of the public and private areas. In the public area, the three-meter-long custom-made table can meet the needs of the gathering. Both adults and children can find their place. As for the private area, the layout has been redesigned to provide a comfortable function and bathrooms for relaxation.
The name of the project is "Gathering", which is from the demand for the use of space and the experience it presents. AThe design team has created a large banquet room that can accommodate a large number of people according to the client's needs, with a three-meter-long dining table where adults can enjoy a drink and a meal. It is noteworthy that the side storage has a duplex-like design, allowing children to play in the spacious area. Lastly, the transparent glass to increase the communication of sight is a wonderful touch.
The site is on the first floor. For the client, the space not only serves as a home, but also as a place for family and friends to gather. The design team emphasized the advantages of high ceilings and created a stress-free space for visitors of all ages. At the same time, they used building materials such as glass tiles and special paints to create a vibrant and textured style.
