Unique Properties
This project integrates the concept of integrated door and wall and cabinet combination with Eastern Neo Minimalism trends to produce a range of home products that harmoniously blend modern aesthetics, Eastern influences, and practical functionality. The primarily black, white, and grey palette is complemented by sophisticated lighting, showcasing the seamless fusion of technology and style.

Production Technology
The decors like vertical decorative light columns, grilles, and mirrored acrylic panels create orderly and intricate light and shadow interplays. The classic black, white, and grey of the Maillard home colours impart a sense of warmth and sophistication. The television backdrop features a 45 degree diagonal cut, showcasing its slim and airy aesthetic. The handle design draws inspiration from the folded texture of clothing of Issey Miyake, achieving a stereo form through extrusion and pleating.
Design Challenge
The challenge is skillfully combining the elements of Eastern and Western cultures while upholding modernity and practicality. Extensive research on the essence of both cultures was conducted by the design team to extract their most representative elements, which were then reinterpreted and integrated using modern design techniques. The modular design was implemented to offer the project not only a flexible and adaptable layout but also to accentuate the unique flavour of Eastern Neo-Minimalism.
Project Duration
The Star brown series was designed and developed in Guangzhou in September 2023 and launched in China in May 2024
Operation Flow
The Star brown series is designed to enhance user interaction within the home environment. Residents can use the intelligent control system to customize lighting, music, and other ambient features to curate a personalized living space. Furthermore, the modular design of the furniture facilitates greater flexibility in space layout, catering to the diverse needs of various users.
Research
After thoroughly analysing modern home design trends and consumer preferences, the design team has integrated the design of door and wall and cabinet with the features of the Eastern Neo Minimalism style to propose the design project for the Star brown series. This project not only satisfies the modern demand for an attractive and functional home but also embodies a distinct Eastern essence and a pursuit of aesthetics.
Inspiration
The project features a sleek and trendy design, offering residents a visually appealing and comfortable living experience. Its integrated door and wall and cabinet design maximizes space utilization and visual aesthetics, aligning with the concept of Eastern Neo Minimalism to create a more spacious and well lit living environment. The emphasis on natural materials and subdued colours reflects the desire of modern people for a more natural and harmonious home life.

Star Brown Custom Interior Design has been a Bronze winner in the Interior Space and Exhibition Design award category in the year 2024 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Bronze A' Design Award is given to outstanding designs that showcase a high degree of creativity and practicality. It recognizes the dedication and skill of designers who produce work that stands out for its thoughtful development and innovative use of materials and technology. These designs are acknowledged for their professional execution and potential to influence industry standards positively.
