This interior design project marries traditional eastern culture with modern design techniques, aims to satisfy the demand of eastern users for a sense of belonging. Adhering to the design concept of modern east, it adopts gray wood veneer, paint, fabric, etc., and converts mountains and waters into a design language for interior decor, showcasing the symbiosis of tradition and modernity, nature and civilization as well as art and life.

The application of gray wood veneer, paint, fabric and metal leads to a low key yet elegant style. Besides that, the project also uses exquisite engraved patterns traced in gold, mortise and tenon joints, as well as the sprayed coating in the same color, creating a living space that strikes a balance between traditional charm and modern aesthetic taste. U shaped marble lighting system exudes a touch of luxury.
The biggest challenge was to strike a balance between tradition and modernity. The designer used gray wood veneer, paint, fabric and metal, which conveys the implicit, understated beauty of eastern culture and caters to the modern aesthetic demand for stylish minimalism. Meanwhile, mountains and waters are converted into a design language for interior decor, emphasizing both traditional eastern charm and fashionable modernity.
The living room dining room kitchen combo breaks the physical boundaries among areas, which improves the space utilization and enables a smoother spatial flow, facilitating deeper interaction and communication among family members. The areas frequently for daytime activities mainly adopt neutral colors to create a fresh atmosphere, which are supplemented with stylish, dynamic accent colors and natural wood colors to spice up the overall space while achieving visual harmony and consistency.
People under great pressure in the fast-paced society, with increasing yearning for nature, urgently need to get inner peace and a sense of belonging. Considering that, the project takes the design concept of modern east to reinterpret natural mountains and waters with modern design language, aiming to create a living environment that can embody eastern aesthetics and adapt to modern lifestyle.
Considering that more urban people yearn for nature, this project, inspired by tall, straight mountains and rippling, flowing waters, incorporates the related elements, highlighting noble spirit, inclusiveness and gentleness. For example, the cabinet handles feature lines resembling mountain ridges, as well as engraved water patterns, highlighting eastern aesthetics full of magnificent and graceful characteristics.
