This space perfectly reflects the understated personalities of a young couple, seamlessly integrating their passions for wine tasting, baking, and piano. Elegance and ritual aren't just occasional highlights but are woven into daily life. With a focus on lighting and spatial flow, non-load-bearing partitions were removed to enhance openness and natural light. The male homeowner, with an astute eye for lighting, collaborated closely with the designer to craft stunning and refined effects.

The focus of living space is mental tranquility. Upon entering, deep brown wood in the kitchen and dining area, paired with calming black iron elements, soothes the mind. Moving further in, colors shift the atmosphere from tension to softness. Neutral gray-white tones in the living room harmonize the mind with the surroundings, enhancing flow. Sustainable materials like natural wood veneer, thin tiles, and wood flooring are visually appealing and green, blending the natural with the artificial.
To ensure the structural integrity of the wine display cabinet and integrate the specialty lighting, the design team held extensive discussions. The solution involved using three slender round iron pipes as vertical structural supports, with shelves composed of bonded wood on top and iron plates beneath, achieving a sleek thickness of just 1.5 cm. Precise grooves were carved into the wood to embed the ultra-thin lighting fixtures, maintaining a minimalist appearance.
This project was completed in May 2024 in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan.
Color transforms the atmosphere across different functional spaces. In the kitchen and dining area, deep brown wood grains, sleek black metal wine cabinets, and lighting create an intimate, luxurious bistro ambiance. The living room features a TV wall with mineral paint and irregular hand-brushed textures, complemented by soothing piano melodies, embodying the rustic charm of gray-white wabi-sabi aesthetics. Soft colors and natural light harmonize seamlessly.
Located in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, this project tackles the urban challenge of maximizing functionality within limited space. The design strategically enhances spatial perception, eliminating any sense of confinement while maintaining a high quality of life. Through thoughtful interior design, skillful use of color, material selection, and lighting, the space is both visually captivating and functionally optimized, delivering an exceptional living experience within a compact footprint.
The delight of living unfolds through meticulously planned spatial layers, telling the story and reflecting the taste of its residents. Centered on human experiences, the design engages all five senses, fostering a sense of satisfaction and happiness that permeates both body and mind, gradually infusing itself into daily life.
