OB House, DUCTSTORE the deign guru, DSTGRTHEOTHERSEVT, THEOTHERSDSTGR
Architects created harmony through a rhythmic interplay of Solid & Void. The exterior appears solid, while the interior features interconnected spaces, including semi-outdoor areas and a central courtyard extending to the third floor. The first floor has a kitchen and pantry, while the second floor offers an open living area and guest bedroom, connected by a spiral staircase to the master bedroom. Balanced green spaces allow natural light in while maintaining privacy, creating an airy and vibrant interior that reflects the homeowners' lifestyle.
The challenge was to design a home where every space is interconnected without compromising the core concept of minimalism and timelessness. Thus, within the cubic form of the building, which is carved into varying Solid & Void on each facade, the design not only creates a unique identity for the house but also highlights the functions and spaces. This ensures that the residents feel a continuous connection between the spaces. Therefore, the external form of the building, which appears solid and closed, contrasts with the interior living atmosphere, which feels comfortable and airy.

The house features semi-outdoor and outdoor spaces that enhance air circulation, reducing heat and increasing comfort while minimizing reliance on air conditioning. To shield against the west-facing sun, solid walls are used, while large glass voids allow ample natural light into the interior, reducing the need for artificial lighting during the day and conserving electricity.
The exterior form of the building, which appears solid and closed, contrasts with the interior living atmosphere, which feels comfortable and airy. The design includes opening the voids into large glass walls at certain points, along with integrating courtyards into the building. This helps to bring nature inside, including green spaces, wind, and natural light, harmoniously blending with the architecture. This makes the house more vibrant while also providing sufficient green spaces to meet the homeowners' needs, which are easy to maintain.
The house reflects the personalities of its homeowners, a couple of fashion designers, through its striking cubic form that showcases their creativity. Named OB House, it embodies their desire for a minimal, sleek, and stylish design. The architects created a unique architectural language with a rhythmic interplay of Solid & Void across each elevation, achieving overall harmony. This approach emphasizes the house’s distinctive concepts of minimalism and timelessness.
