Unique Properties

The homeowners desired a comfortable, functional, and simple space for each family member. In response, a minimalist and timeless atmosphere was created through modern design elements and carefully selected colors. All furniture and furnishings were newly produced to align with the design concept, resulting in an elegant and cozy home that exudes a sense of lived-in warmth.

Production Technology

Italian ceramics were chosen for the kitchen and wet areas, while light-colored wooden parquet was used in the rooms and corridors to enhance warmth and natural texture. Furniture was designed with a combination of natural wood veneer and lacquered finishes, ensuring soft and seamless transitions. Wallpaper with dynamic patterns was applied in various spaces, adding energy to the home and breaking visual monotony. Modern lighting fixtures were integrated with ceiling and wall moldings to create a cohesive design. Porcelain surfaces, known for their hygienic and contemporary appeal, were used for bathroom and kitchen countertops. The overall decor was enriched with carefully selected artworks and accessories, adding a personal touch while enhancing the home’s depth and warmth.

Design Challenge

Considering the homeowners' needs, it was essential to create practical, stylish, and functional spaces. A timeless atmosphere was achieved through the use of natural materials, simple forms, and a balanced color palette, all harmonized within an aesthetic and modern design approach.

Project Duration

This project was completed in February 2021 in Istanbul/Zekeriyakoy.

Operation Flow

The living room, overlooking the green space and pool, serves as the heart of the home with its high ceilings and gallery void. The fireplace, designed to warm the entire space, is clad in marble and extends to the full height of the gallery void, seamlessly integrating the seating and dining areas. A mirror above the fireplace enhances the sense of depth. The combination of parquet flooring, a marble fireplace, wall moldings, and modern lighting elements aim to create an elegant and contemporary ambiance. While white tones dominate the interior, select pieces in vibrant colors add a dynamic touch. Italian ceramics were used on the floors and walls of the bathrooms, with wallpaper applied in certain areas. In children's bathrooms, custom-colored ceramic tiles were incorporated. The winter garden features wooden beams and a suspended wooden fan, enhancing the natural warmth of the space. The master bedroom, overlooking the front garden, offers a spacious and serene retreat, furnished simply with a bed and wooden nightstands. One of the most distinctive areas of the home is the "man cave" in the garage, designed as a hobby and relaxation space. Clad entirely in wooden paneling, it features a marble bar counter, custom-designed cabinets, and brass accents, resulting in a sophisticated, timeless, and inviting atmosphere.

Research

This residence embodies a modern and timeless design, where a simple and minimal approach was adopted to prioritize aesthetics and comfort in line with the homeowners' needs. Personalized comfort areas were created by integrating modern, functional, and luxurious design elements, resulting in a cohesive and enduring design language.

Inspiration

Designed with a modern and timeless approach, the villa project in Zekeriyakoy harmonizes with the simplicity of nature while embodying comfort, elegance, and a lasting aesthetic. Open spaces, gallery voids, and natural materials were thoughtfully integrated to create a seamless connection between the interior and exterior, ensuring a comfortable and functional living environment.
