This project was entirely developed using BIM, from civil engineering plans to interior designs and custom furniture detailing. This approach enabled precise compatibility among the various disciplines involved, optimizing the construction process and ensuring a high level of detailing. The millwork was meticulously designed to reinforce visual continuity and functionality, using natural oak veneer and limestone as the primary materials. The seamless integration of architectural elements and carefully selected materials ensured a balance between aesthetics and practicality, reflecting the essence of the project.
Designing and detailing the millwork was a key challenge, requiring a balance between form and function. The millwork integrates the project's concepts, ensuring continuity between spaces without overwhelming them visually. The combination of built-in and loose furniture was carefully planned to maintain a functional and practical environment while preserving a minimalist essence. The final result is a harmonious space that blends aesthetics, comfort, and flexibility.
The Sunrise Apartment is located in Ecoville, Curitiba, Brazil, offering a privileged view of Barigui Park and the city skyline. Curitiba's humid subtropical climate, with mild temperatures and significant variations, influenced the choice of materials and natural lighting strategy to enhance thermal comfort. The project began in 2023 and was completed in 2024.
The sensory experience provided by the Sunrise Apartment is one of its defining qualities. Every choice of material, ergonomics, and lighting was designed to evoke a sense of calm and well-being for its residents. The integration of spaces promotes a fluid circulation, visually connecting the environments without losing the feeling of warmth. The abundant natural light and connection with the external landscape create a tranquil atmosphere, where time seems to slow down and every detail invites contemplation and togetherness.
The project follows minimalist principles, eliminating excess to emphasize the essential. Neuroarchitecture guided material and color choices to promote calmness and well-being. This approach positively impacts residents' daily lives, creating a functional yet serene living space.
The Sunrise Apartment was designed as an urban retreat where architecture fosters well-being and connection with what truly matters. Inspired by the morning light, a symbol of renewal, the project features a soft palette and natural materials. The residents' lifestyle shaped the concept, resulting in a functional and serene space. The integration of areas, emphasis on natural light, and minimalist design create a harmonious environment that enhances simplicity and warmth.
