Residential Flat for Focus Architects & Associates
It is a simple happiness for a family who cook together, drink coffee together, and share breakfast by the window. The house owner in this residential interior design project is a young girl living with her boyfriend. On weekdays, they share breakfast by the window before going out. At weekends, they spend time together in that they cook and eat by the customized wooden table. The wooden table and kitchen island are connected in L shape. They have a wonderful moment sharing foods in the dining room, where is an important space for the family as well.

The wooden table and kitchen island are connected in L shape. They have a wonderful moment sharing foods in the dining room, where is an important space for the family as well. The walls comprehensively adorned with paintings are subtly distinguished from the doors. The warm wooden colors act as a role expressing the space characters. The rectangular public area is symmetrically divided into the living and dining room.
The kitchen counter, in the rear of dining room, is embellished with clear white connecting with the entire space. The consolidation of cabinets and wood boards diversifies the interior design.
The project finished in January 2017 in Taichung.
The wire brushing veneers designed into the TV wall expose the warm tones different from textures of marbles. The Japanese-style area extending outwards from the living room is lovely for the family. The sliding door decorated between this wooden area and the living room handily either broadens the space or secures privacy as needed. The black big sofa, TV cabinet and wall painting consistently present colors.
The wooden cabinets are symmetrically decorated in the living and dining room. The large table composed of solid woods and cast irons is extended from the dining room to the window. The woods are extensively decorated on the walls and tables in the dining room and kitchen, thus showing the consistency of materials decorated in three dimensions.
The private area connects to the public area with a partial wood grilles and wood door. The door adorned with the vivid painting obscures the difference between the wall and door, which has become a part of indoor scene as well. This couple has his/her exclusive bedrooms, which strengthen the independent space features. The woods with lighter colors and wood grain floors create the quiet sleeping environment, and explain the consistency in design skills and materials utilizations.
