Morandi colors such as ash grey, bluish grey and warm grey colors are used as the main tones for the overall, creating visual stability and harmony, allowing space to reveal a tranquil quality. The lounge used dual-colored flooring, while the corridor is presented with marble tiles and the sofa area rather adopted solid wood flooring, offering temperature regulating function other than the advantages of being eco-friendly and comfortable, such that there is no need for the use of carpet in summer, thereby solving the dust mite allergy issue that majority of the modern people have.
Solid wood flooring and marble tiles are applied to separate the interior from the exterior, adding a sense of layers to space; the grey colored sofa is matched, while the large window guides natural light indoor, creating a refreshingly comfortable atmosphere. Materials are applied to sculpt the spatial texture, creating a tranquil yet resplendent mansion manner, the symbiosis between texture and glory depicts exquisite details of the space.
The project finished in March 2019 in Taichung City.
The design team values spatial completeness, such that the marble tiles from the corridor extend all the way to the television wall, thereby expanding the visual effect. Titanium doors are used on both sides, independently separating the usage spaces for father and son, the usage space for the son features an additional multi-functional room, where the room door is concealed behind the marble wall via cutting approach.
Lin Yutang once stated, The best architecture is that we do not know where nature ends and where art begins when we are right in it. Architectural design is such existence to human beings.
Transforming design into the language of life is the core principle for the design team, fusing design aesthetics into life in order to demonstrate according to each house owners needs.
