Tea Warehouse for SIGNdeSIGN
The concept of the project breaks the single-function of traditional warehouse and creates a new scene in line with the lifestyle through mixed area mode. By embedding a behavioral picture of modern urban life (libraries, galleries, exhibition halls, tea, and beverage tasting centers), it turns a single micro-space into an "open urban area" on a "greater" scale. The project tries to combine private invitations and public institutions' macro-aesthetic experience.

The concept of warehouse 2.0 breaks the single function of traditional warehouse space and creates a new scene in line with the contemporary lifestyle through mixed space mode. By creating buildings with city thinking, public space can take on urbanity. By embedding a behavioral picture of contemporary urban life (libraries, art galleries, exhibition halls, tea, and beverage tasting centers), then turn a single micro-space into an " open urban space" on a "greater" scale.
Tea warehouse, Multi-functional, Creative space, Gallery space, Interior design
Along the " second behavior streamline ", reading space, exhibition space and tea tasting space which are metaphors of modern city life are arranged. These spaces are organized as floating boxes organically organized through space language. At the entrance of the tea warehouse space, a small "square footstep" is set up to shunt visitors. As a transitional space, visitors can walk on it while the Art Gallery at the top turns into a gazer of behaviors and activities of visitors.
The traditional storage space of tea merchants is closed, while the space of traditional art galleries is grand and indifferent. The project try to combine private invitations and public institutions' macro-aesthetic experience. It is positioned as an open public place to share "scenario" aesthetic experience with the public. The vast space can accommodate thinking, free the soul, and then carry out the emotional interaction between man and man-made things.
The project is located in xi'an city, Shaanxi province of China. The design was started in July 2019 and the project is under construction.
The space with multiple-meaning of the implanted "second behavioral streamline" can be used as the scene of immersive theatre. To make public the story scripts in the field of artistic innovation and conduct second media dissemination, new IP is rebuilt through the new demonstration of tea story. In the new era of Internet of Things driven by 5G technology, the project can serve as interfaces for new business experiments, generators and linkers of activities, providing unlimited business imagination.
1. Redefining Storage Units. Combining with international standards, the project break through the traditional concept of cubic meter and redefine the new storage unit "Tea Square". With a standardized storage shelf as the background, the modular and slender structure makes space present a hazy feeling. 2. Superimpose new dynamic behavior and implant multi-functional space: "suspended air cube". 3. "Micro Space" Created by Urban Thinking and Community Concept.
Under the context of traditional space design, warehousing is used to efficiently and safely store goods. Besides these functions, are there more interesting and valuable dimensions to reinterpret and reexamine warehousing space? Why do beautiful things have to be safely hidden away? Can they be presented to the public? Is there a more open and dynamic warehousing mode besides the closed warehousing mode? The project provides an excellent opportunity to practice the concept.
