There is no barrier between living room and library. In between a U shape wood decoration panel extends to the ceiling from the wall of this area. Two goal has been achieved: 1. hide beam; 2. create invisible division between the two areas. Moreover, the design to unify sofa and desk creates not only a more spacious visual effect but also a living with various appearance.

Wood texture is selected as the key visual design of the space elevations and it is focused on balance. The television wall, made of deep gray natural slate, looks lively with its gradient irregular arrangement and twill. The deep gray of natural slate collocates with the wood of walls, exhibiting interesting contrasts of both color temperature and texture.
The U shaped wood decoration panel creates extension to the ceiling from the wall. The opposite wall is made of mirror, therefore, it create not only a more spacious visual effect but also a function of arranging appearance.
project is located in Taipei, Taiwan, started in January, 2019 and completed in March, 2019.
This project is focused on balance. The form lines follow a scaling principle of modern space design, composed of the beauty of stableness and the quality of being sedated. The open public area includes a dining room and living room, to create an arrangement of circulation that allows people to walk under lights and shadows, a more spacious visual effect that receives much sunlight.
The arrangement of the storage is plural. The designer utilizes the cabinet as a division of many areas in order to increase storage space and streamline the traffic flow. He also collocates warm wood color with industrial cold black gray, adds a three-dimensional pattern on the wood surfaces with black flames, as well as presenting an energetic appearance with irregular blocks.
The target client is a married couple of young entrepreneurs, who pay great attention on the space convenience and storage utilization when considering their new home. To accommodate their busy and well-executed living style, the designer devotes himself to create a spacious artwork in light industrial style, which is focused on functional and practical space with style and beauty.
Balance Residential Interior Design has been a Iron winner in the Interior Space and Exhibition Design award category in the year 2019 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Iron A' Design Award is awarded to good designs that meet the rigorous professional and industrial standards set by the A' Design Awards.
