Production Technology
The soundproofing materials of the thick blue velvet curtains decorated on the large window walls create an enjoyable environment for music appreciation. People has the great view to the outdoor night scenes through the gauze windows as well. In addition to the blue velvet curtains, the red velvet curtains embellished on the stage are also captivating.
Design Challenge
The color planning, besides its functionality, highlights the fashionable English charms. The implicit boundary between the areas decorated with the sofas and the adjoining area decorated with the leather chairs and round tables is delineated by the curved ceiling grilles that are sound absorbing materials as well.
Project Duration
The property finished in July 2019. Locates in Hsinchu City, Taiwan.
Operation Flow
The front door decorated with the black slabs and burgundy leather consistently corresponds to the main imagery of design. For the front door paralleling the stage, people immediately see the stage when coming in the bar, where the bar counter is on the left, and the seats are in the middle.
Research
The design idea focuses on the counter consisting of the indirect gentle and the ball pendant lights. The white marbles with the artistic patterns decorated in the dark are astonishing. The shine, through the wine bottles, on the metal wine cabinets, of which the rusted textures and the lights expose the elegant attractions.
Inspiration
Designed the curved hallway skillfully bypassing the restroom. The imagery of the upside down wine glass cut by laser is embellished on the wall along the hallway, where, with the linear design, clearly shows the spatial characteristics.
Project Overview
Cat Walk Piano Bar has been a Iron winner in the Interior Space and Exhibition Design award category in the year 2019 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Iron A' Design Award is awarded to good designs that meet the rigorous professional and industrial standards set by the A' Design Awards. This recognition is reserved for works that demonstrate a solid understanding of design principles and show creativity within their execution. Recipients of the Iron A' Design Award are acknowledged for their practical innovations and contributions to their respective fields, providing solutions that improve quality of life and foster positive change. These designs are a testament to the skill and dedication of their creators, showcasing their ability to address real-world challenges through thoughtful design.
