Bar for GASK
The design was inspired by pop art and summer and aperol drink. It was an idea to create an atmosphere of all year summer in cold Moscow city. To support this idea orange colors and bright materials were used. The main focus was made on the swimming David - the new vision on Michelangelo masterpiece. The spacial space with chase lounges and solarium symbolized the beach area. The steam fireplaces installed on the bar impressed and surprised.

The bar is located in a five-story building on the top floor. You can sight the fiesta from the outside by the bright light of the dancefloor in the panoramic window. The six meters statue of David was printed on 3D printer by elements. Six cold stem fire fireplaces by Dimplex were installed into the low bar countertop. The center tables are made from corten steel. All the plants are plastic. The solarium is installed under the lounge zone with low chairs made of lightweight concrete. All the tables are custom made from concrete and marble. Some decorative elements as door handles made in brass. The bar facade is made of stainless steel.
The space is full of details, every element was hand made. A lot of sculpture elements. THe location was nice, but the bar is located on the fifth floor that is difficult for operation. The huge statue is clearly visible from the outside and attracts people. The main color of the bar is orange and the name is in association with famous drink. In russia Aperol is synonym of summer.
The project was started in January of 2019 and finished in June 2019. Bar is located in the historical center of Moscow in the modern building among historical architecture. It is located on the fifth floor with the panoramic view on the old city. The bar was highly rated among the Russian and the international interior media.
Unexpected decisions are a kind of visiting card of the project. Steam fireplaces located along the bar became part of the performance: the guest needs to put his hand through the fire to take a glass. The bar was made slightly understated so that it was more convenient for visitors to communicate with the bartenders and see everything that was happening on the other side.
The space inside is designed in the style of pop art. A lot of plants, neon, a mix of different colors and large art objects transfer us to the bright picture of Warhol. The summer theme is supported by its main attributes striped mattresses on the windowsills and a beach area with sunbeds behind the DJ. Inclusions of Asian design are present also in the menu.Such a rich interior required a wow effect. It was ensured with a floating statue of David under the ceiling. The famous sculpture was given the movement of a swimmer, but at the same time retained its recognizable plasticity.
Eternal summer with a lot of fun and dancing, this is how you can describe the atmosphere of the new Moscow Aprol bar on Bolshaya Tatarskaya street. The bright name is the basic part of the concept. The main drink on the menu is the popular summer aperitif. Moreover, knowledgeable party goers come here for authors cuisine, a trendy location in Instagram stories and a solar vibe, which Archpoint architects so carefully created.
