By creating a free and comfortable open office area, a diversified office and the color combinations provide a stream of vitality factors for the creation of employees, achieving balance between people and the space. Under the interaction of the blocks, the space generates a number of superimposed parts, which naturally drive the rhythm of the space through the collage of materials and create a contrasting scene.

1. The transitional process of different materials is difficult due to the cutting way of geometrical spaces. 2. The production of featured parts, like the leather wall brick made from ECCO leather and the table surface and reception counter with overhang structure. 3. The client hoped the artworks could combine different cultures of two cities while embodying ECCO's corporate culture.
The project started in April 2019 and finished in December 2019 in Xi'an, China.
The diversified office and color combination provide a steady stream of vitality factors for the staff's creation, so that balance can be achieved between people and the rhythm of the space. Inspired by the traditional shoe-making tool, the background wall is decorated with shoe last, which stimulates visitors' curiosity to learn more about shoe-making craftsmanship. The leather artwork where the design inspiration is derived from Shaanxi's shadow puppet culture, as well as the tangible cultural heritage (leather brick wall created from the city wall) is both a salutary tribute to the traditional culture.
Drawing on elements of city wall, the tangible cultural heritage in Xi'an, the designers created a leather brick wall blended with ECCO's spirit of "leather innovation". The hanging leather artworks in the lounge are inspired by the Shaanxi shadow puppetry and are completed with ECCO leather. The shoe last, a traditional shoe-making tool, is used to decorate the background wall, stimulating visitors' curiosity of the shoe-making craftsmanship.
Nordic design elements are used to present a natural and active work and life state, extending ECCO's brand concept to the design of scenes, and revealing the pure essence of nature. The design team created a balance between East and West, as well as traditional and modern styles for ECCO's office space in Xi'an, allowing natural temperament and long-lasting positive life state to condense within.
