Model House for Shanghai Wanggu Interior Decoration Design Co.,Ltd
This project was to create a residence with a river view for the city of Xianyang, hoping to reflect the spaciousness and comfort of the space and to bring the river view inside. The designers planned the front and rear balcony spaces and created a north-south front and rear courtyard with a sky courtyard concept. In order to reflect this generosity of space, the designers tried to make the public areas as fully open as possible. The interior design of modern minimalist style reflects the quality of a river-view mansion and the comfort of being close to nature.

This case is a first-tier river view luxury residence in Xianyang City. The design team has taken full advantage of the geographical location to bring the beautiful river view into the interior through large floor-to-ceiling windows and fully open public areas. It has also cleverly laid out the front and back balcony spaces, creating a north-south front and back courtyards through the concept of a sky courtyard.
River view, Luxury, Residence, Modern, Minimalist
This project is in modern minimalist style, the facade uses horizontal and vertical interspersed with deconstructive techniques, cleverly defining the area. The materials used are jazz white marble, clouds of gray marble, straight grain white oak veneer, off-white lacquered panels, rose gold stainless steel.
The difficulty with this project was the treatment of large open spaces. It was a great challenge to make the overall space consistent and to improve the taste of the soft furnishings. The designers have created large spaces by reducing the number of partition walls; they have harmonised the soft furnishings and lighting with the interior design and reflected the character of the space through artwork.
The project started in May 2019 in Shanghai and finished in August 2019 in Xianyang.
The entrance door is located in the center of the space in the hallway, allowing for more privacy. The living room, study and sky courtyard are located to the right of the entrance, and white blinds instead of curtains shield some of the light, making the space simpler and brighter. The wooden fence ceiling in the courtyard, together with the vibrant green plants on the marble steps, forms a natural and relaxing picture. The difference in height of the plants produces an interesting sense of space, and the varying shades of green create unique levels of experience.
This case is positioned as a first-line luxury house with a river view in Xianyang city, hoping to reflect the spaciousness and comfort and to bring the river view into the interior. The designer cleverly planned the front and back balcony space, and created a north-south front and back courtyard with the concept of a sky courtyard. In order to reflect the spaciousness, the designer opened up the public areas as much as possible to make a fully open space.
The space is clean and simple, with white as the base color. In order to reflect the spaciousness, the designers have reduced the number of partition walls, opened up the public area to create a fully open space, and cleverly defined the area through the decomposition of interspersing the facades vertically and horizontally. In terms of layout, there is an unobstructed flowline from the entrance to the living room and then to the dining room, making it open and free.
