With the Memphis style as the main direction, the changing aqua blue and light pink echo each other, emphasize the uniqueness of the light and shadow changes in the space and harmonize the most suitable colors for each space. Even the two-color collocation can show delicate layers of feeling. In addition, bigger storage cabinets are used, which not only provides perfect functional placement, but also brings consistency to the overall style of the painted cabinet, and use the groove line technique between the cabinet and the wall to make a single space have more levels of feeling.
niche booth, cat home, walala style, Memphis movement, crazy and cozy style
The inspiration starts from the clients who want to escape from the conventional home design, which means there will be no monotonous and serious design configuration in all spaces. Therefore, during the planning process, the aqua blue and light pink colors are integrated. As well as the suitable curvy shape modification, the Memphis style furnishings, and the details, showing the richness of diversity. And with the hand-painted stripes, showing a harmonious and symmetrical spatial design with multiple changes.
Although the design is based on rich colors diverse feelings, yet it also considers the harmony to the overall space. Evaluate the possible color changes of the space after being projected by different lights, and consider the conformity of the functional use and color of each space, so that the design team can think about the use of paint and color. After considering the influence of light and shadow changes, the main tone extension or darker or lighter color is modulated so that the overall space shows a richer level of change under the main color.
The project finished in May 2020 in Taipei City, Taiwan.
In a limited space, the re-division of the spatial layout is used to create an expanded spatial experience. After considering the functional living and working requirements, the design team turned the TV cabinet into a partition wall to the private area, not only clearly define the public and private area but also at the same time it also maximizes the use of the public space, combining work and life and showing the unique style of experiencing life.
The overall design of the space will take this as the main direction to evaluate the advantages of the space and the best flow planning. The TV cabinet is used as an area division and uses transparent glass material to introduce natural light. Under the adjustment of the main color of aqua blue and light pink and its shades. In addition, the design team deliberately used a couch with a long table in the workspace and matched it with a movable Memphis style single chair to show a comfortable and lively space experience, allowing creative workers to freely get inspiration through the comfortable and creative living space.
Breaking the conventional appearance of residential design, the Memphis movement is added as the preference of the client. Under the integration of bright colors, bringing out inspiration for the space users, and with strong and saturated color collision, it shows rich and varied color changes. Especially under the design team color selections, the rebellious, diverse, and full of character space features are not restricted, therefore harmoniously presents an extraordinary housing imagination.
