This project is located in West Lake scenic area. Because of the demand of government, protecting original architecture and building elevation is rigid requirement. In the process of designing, separated interior space and outdoor space as two system. Engineering on the basis of architectural main style of hundred years, and keeping modern resorts and commercial function in interior space.

Wooden components of building elevation have been decayed already because of time, designers choose the baking technique since Song dynasty to made wooden surface carbonized, and keep it integrity.
The most difficult things in this project is to demand of environment protecting. Greening rate and without original flooring material damaged in courtyard. The material were hundreds year flagstone, it couldn't covered by modern materials like concrete or amplify green area by digging out stones.
The project started in March 2019 in Hanghzou and finished in October 2019 in Hanghzou.
In the early design stage, we looked for builders and construction team on account of traditional skills, because there are few builder nowadays. So sufficient preparation will guaranteed the project smooth progress and made a excellent contribution to traditional craft preservation and continue.
This project combined traditional cultural context and modern living demand, based on the historical and cultural relics, how to blend modern hotel and commercial pattern into discussion, make it conformed to space functional division and usage experience, to ensure that based on integrity of design, continuing the unique historical context and traditional craft to spring historical architecture to life.
This religion is the one of major birthplace of Chinese Buddhism. There are nearly ten Buddhist Temple three kilometers in radius, and Lingyin Temple built in AD 326. Many followers came to worshiping and learning Buddhism essence in nearly temple's meditation abodes, but it isn't enough far and away. So it's important satisfy the needs of living demand. Satisfying the balance of modern living requirement and inner peace.
