Alcohol Culture Center for Isense Design
The project is located inside the 2rd Ring Road and on the vein of Beijing. It's a comprehensive space that presents the life of Qin Hanzhang known as a master of liquor, takes liquor culture experience as the core, and integrates display, tasting and clubhouse. The design utilizes dark gray and black, wooden hue and gold in a differentiated way, implicitly links with alcohol making culture, and reinterprets Chinese elements. Enclosed circulation routes establish an interaction and emotional connection among brand, people and space.

The project is located in a building at the entrance of 1921 Cultural Industrial Park in Beijing's Huayuan Hutong. Distinct from other alcohol retail spaces, it's a comprehensive space with liquor culture at its core, integrating display, tasting and clubhouse. The building is not allowed for changes. Signboard is set at the entrance on 1F. L-shaped golden high wall is like an open scroll. Dark gray/black, wooden hue and gold set the tone of 2F. "Enclosed" circulations enhance spatial appeal.

The lattice-shaped full-height display cabinets, linear elements, ink treasures and tea and wine tables attempt to echo "stringed instrument, chess, calligraphy, painting, poetry, wine and tea", which are elegant interests of literati. Each display panel corresponds to a column display cabinet. Drawing on the implied meaning of "seal", the project hopes to suggest the deep imprint left by Mr. Qin on the Chinese wine industry.
It was a challenge to sort out the lifelong contributions of Qin Hanzhang, read works and materials with hundreds of thousands of words, and to deeply dig into the Chinese white wine culture. Besides, both the main interior structure and the old architecture with a history of 40 years were not allowed for changes, which posed certain difficulties and limitations to the layout as well as the design.
Started in April 2021; Completed in July 2021; Location: 1921 Cultural Industrial Park, Huayuan Hutong, Beijing, China
Culture and experience drive sales, which is the current trend of many retail spaces. Qin Hanzhang is "a master of liquor" recognized by the Chinese alcohol and brewing sectors. The spatial experience gets visitors acquainted with Mr. Qin's lifelong contributions and enables them to learn the Chinese white wine culture, thus naturally promoting the sales of the liquor brand named after Qin Hanzhang.
The project is situated inside an independent building at the entrance of 1921 Cultural Industrial Park in Beijing's Huayuan Hutong. The site used to be the former office of Beijing Public Transport. The building is not allowed for any design changes. The signboard is set at the entrance on 1F. The left side of the reception desk on 1F leads to the office area and the separate private rooms of Xian Qin Hui. Liquor culture experience center and liquor selling display hall are arranged on 2F.
The project is a comprehensive space, which presents the life stories of Qin Hanzhang known as "a master of liquor", takes alcohol culture experience as the core, displays Xian Qin liquor for sale and integrates the services of tasting, training and catering. It inherits the spirit of Qin Hanzhang, advocates scientific drinking and tipsy lifestyle, and establishes a communication platform for alcohol lovers to appreciate good liquor, share liquor knowledge and spread liquor culture.
