This project is typical Hui Style architecture, featuring "white walls and black tiles", mezzanines, paifang, lattice windows, etc. Because the project is located in the southern China, where is mountainous and with many rivers around, designs like atrium and mezzanines are adopted to cope with the hot-humid climate. As for the interior decoration, in order to satisfy owner's preference of Italian lifestyle, the materials, color schemes, crafts and furniture are all carefully chosen.

The biggest challenge here is how to seamlessly merge the Italian style interiors with the Chinese Hui Style architecture. From the form of spaces, materials used, color schemes to the creative art decoration inspired by water elements, the team carefully integrate eastern and western cultures to show the beauty of fusion. Meanwhile, a more minimalistic and modern decor is adopted to weaken the conflict feelings that might appear due to the collision of cultures.
The project finished in 2022 in Hangzhou.
Traditional Hui Style architecture would face north, so lacking of daylight is a common problem. To resolve this issue, the designer removed part of the floor slabs around the staircase to form an atrium, then adopted large windows, so the light can get to the underground floors. Some stainless steel statues inspired by different water forms are put in the open spaces around the staircase to match the river theme, and, thanks to the effect of reflection, the entire space is full of light.
The painting Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains inspired the project. On the ground floor, the oriental artistic conception is mingled with the western minimalism well. The pool outdoor is made of black and white mosaic tiles, matches the white walls and black tiles. The highlight of B1 is the mirrored ceiling with water wave patterns. On the 2nd floor, the design of ceiling and pendant lamps shows Italian aesthetics. The roof height gets stretched in the master bedroom, feeling open and spacious.
The project is located on one side of Fuchun River. Inspired by the famous Chinese painting Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains, the idea of interior design adopts the images of stunning scenery of Jiangnan and the beauty of water towns, hoping to create a serene and calm environment for the residents. The pool in the courtyard, the curvilinear ceiling, and the stairs inspired by ripples are all designed with the fluid, non-stop water flow as the main theme in mind.
