Unique Properties

“Gin and Chuan”restaurant project is located in the center of Shanghai East Hongqiao. It connects many business circles such as Tianshan Hongqiao and Gubei, and its geographical location is unique. Relying on the Great Hongqiao Hub, “Gin and Chuan”Restaurant has superimposed the dual empowerment of Hongqiao Central Business District and Changning District. This is bound to become the new top class.

Production Technology

The designer visited Sichuan to explore the local Bashu culture and Sichuan cuisine. Sichuan cuisine tastes both fresh, mellow and rich. It is famous for its good use of spicy seasoning. It can reach the standard of a state banquet, and it can also be close to the human fireworks in the streets and alleys. Sichuan cuisine draws on the strengths of many families, is inclusive, and enjoys a good reputation both at home and abroad.

Design Challenge

The oriental gourmet Sichuan cuisine and Jingdezhen ceramic culture, which has influenced the world, are reinterpreted, presenting the high grade of "variable seasonings and equal emphasis on mellowness". A fusion of Eastern and Western fusion of Sichuan cuisine and whiskey. This is the challenge that Gin and Chuan restaurant wants to explore culture.

Project Duration

Completion of design in Shanghai, China in 2022.

Operation Flow

Custom-made exclusive ceramic handicrafts from Jingdezhen, each product is hand-made and unique, and is fired at a high temperature of 1400 degrees.

Research

The "Chuan" in “Gin and Chuan ”restaurant represents Bashu culture and Sichuan cuisine. Sichuan cuisine tastes both fresh and mellow, and is famous for its good use of spicy seasoning. With its casual and free cooking methods and strong local flavors, it combines the characteristics of the southeast, north, and west. It can be held at the state banquet level, and it can be seen in the world fireworks in the streets and alleys. Sichuan cuisine draws on the strengths of many families, is inclusive, and enjoys a good reputation both at home and abroad.

Inspiration

The "Scenery" in “Gin and Chuan” restaurant is inspired by Jingdezhen. It combines the western modern design represented by Swiss internationalism design style with Jingdezhen ceramic art, and explores the "East Porcelain and West Charm" international aesthetic expression paradigm restaurant that contains the essence of ceramic art and has an international aesthetic style.
