Studio for Ashadow Design
With light and shadow intertwined, the project features natural vibes as the basis for arranging the overall space elements. Complicated decorations are avoided and geometric blocks and orderly lines match each other to outline the unpretentious beauty of space, where the pure and specific design methods interpret the aesthetic of the fusion of material and spatial ambiance. The bold adjustment and reorganization of the original structure have given new meaning to each spatial scale.

Complicated decorations avoided, the entrance adopts a large curved facade, where the white wall and concrete floor build a calm and balanced appeal, attracting visitors to explore the inside of the studio.
With modernist architectural techniques, the stairs coiled in an interesting form and structure create a sense of flow and an entertaining atmosphere, arousing the sentiments of visitors. The logo with personal characteristics reflects the distinctive modern design aesthetics. The micro-cement and the interweaving of block construction enrich the space vibes.
Ying Photography Studio was designed in September 2021 and completed in March 2023 in Hangzhou, China.
The integration of shooting and interactive functions is another detail of the space. The object placement and unity of function provide visual and aesthetic elements for the photography studio. The spatial vibes and aesthetic artistic conception also constitute a proper echo and fusion to create an immersive shooting venue.
The rough exposed elements are refined to make the design style return to the most authentic original form. Each material reveals its own texture, unfolding the aesthetic Zen energy, and allowing visitors to feel the coexistence of relaxation and emptiness, order and meditation.
The designer believes that incompleteness is a simple and advanced beauty which describes a kind of thinking, presents a kind of aesthetics, and refers to a kind of concept. The space without any decorative elements can express the unique effect brought by the thick and heavy materials, making the space return to its essence.
Ying Photography Studio has been a Bronze winner in the Interior Space and Exhibition Design award category in the year 2023 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Bronze A' Design Award is given to outstanding designs that showcase a high degree of creativity and practicality. It recognizes the dedication and skill of designers who produce work that stands out for its thoughtful development and innovative use of materials and technology.
