Office for Mrt design
Providing a physical office for many of the staff of an investment firm that has a flexible hybrid work arrangement for its staff. It provides an office home base in Shanghai but also a suitable meeting space for the various investors, and VIPs. Programmatically, it is divided into two sides by the lobby, a workstation side and a meeting side. The office side is dominated by four long tables recalling library reading tables and personal lockers. Private desks are hidden behind wood partitions. A modern and minimal approach keeps the material palette to concrete, travertine, and blond oak.

Minimal and restrained, the material finish is dominated by pale travertine, concrete, and oak. The wood panels, travertine, and glass partitions and cabinetry share the same dimensional module and provide a consistent spatial and visual rhythm throughout the office. The verticality of the module also recalls classical building proportions to ground the design suitable for a financial company.
