Residential for Kris Lin International Design
Located in Qingdao West Coast, China's ninth largest new district, this project presents exclusive first-line sea view villas. The villas boast open-plan layouts, ocean-view bedrooms, home theaters, tea rooms, and more, emphasizing "frame scene" design to transform sea views into living art through floor-to-ceiling windows. This modern minimalist approach enhances the focus on outside ocean vistas, allowing residents to immerse in nature's beauty without leaving home.

1.Advantage: Prime Ocean View The project is a rare first-line sea view villa model home in Qingdao West Coast, China's ninth largest new district. Since China has ceased the development of first-line sea view residential land, the scarcity of the project is even more pronounced. 2.Functionality: This villa has three floors above and two below, offering an open-plan living area, study, large ocean-view bedrooms, a home theater, tea room, and more.

1.Lighting: By studying regional illumination, large floor-to-ceiling windows and an open layout were designed to maximize enjoyment of natural light while reducing the use of artificial lighting, promoting energy efficiency and environmental friendliness. 2.Framed View: Emphasizing the natural advantage of prime ocean views, panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows transform the seascape into a "flowing natural painting," seamlessly blending natural beauty with modern living.
1.Challenge: How to Bring Prime Ocean Views Indoors Through open design and large floor-to-ceiling windows, a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor spaces is achieved, enhancing natural light and visual experience. Indoor furniture layout also considers lighting to optimize views. 2.Spatial Requirements: A flexible layout positions furniture for the best sea views, with a study, home theater, tea room, and more, catering to varied entertainment and relaxation needs.
The project began its design phase in Shanghai, China, in October 2022 and was completed in Qingdao, Shandong Province, China, in June 2023.
This case features a standalone villa located on scarce prime oceanfront property. Employing the "framed view" design approach, it brings natural seascapes into the home. Large glass windows serve as paintings, allowing residents to directly enjoy the outside seascape. Additionally, these windows can be opened, seamlessly connecting indoor and outdoor spaces, as if living within natural art.
1.Purpose: Incorporating Prime Ocean Views Leveraging geographic advantage, precise analysis allows for the integration of natural seascapes with interior spaces, offering an intuitive and natural visual experience. 2.Method: "Framed View" Employs minimalist framing for doors and windows, showcasing seascapes like artwork. 3.Effect: A Natural Living Example Promotes sustainable living by using natural light through large windows, appealing to eco-conscious customers.
Concept: 1.Framed View: Leveraging the unique prime oceanfront perspective of the project, the "framed view" concept presents natural seascapes as if they were paintings, turning the ocean view into artwork within a frame. Floor-to-ceiling windows provide natural light and sea views, enabling indoor enjoyment of the landscape. 2.Minimalist Design: Utilizes modern minimalism to highlight the seascape, reducing clutter and centering on ocean views for a natural connection.
