As one step into the grand lobby, the first thing that catches one attention is the impressive corporate wall. Its majestic presence and the use of smooth marble exude an aura of strength and dependability, setting the tone for the entire space. The columns on the floor are equally striking, with a woven pattern that draws inspiration from both the knitting-related industry and the Velcro tape. The combination of these two elements reflects the company's commitment to innovation and creativity, while also emphasizing its established reputation.
Upon arriving at the 8th floor's common area, ones eyes will be immediately drawn to a magnificent world map that adorns the floor. The intricate detailing of the map serves as a testament to the company's global reach, and the pride it takes in servicing clients from all corners of the world. As one move further into the area, one will be enveloped by the feeling of walking through a time tunnel, brought on by the curved lines on the ceiling of the long corridor.
The project was completed in Taoyuan, Taiwan, in September 2023.
The design team has paid careful attention to even the smallest details, crafting the windows and doors using three different techniques. The sandblasted paper window pattern adds a level of texture and depth, creating a subtle play of light and shadow. The laser-cut metal plates fixed with 5mm tea glass provide a sleek and modern look, while the sandblasted tea glass for the secret door area adds an element of intrigue and mystery to the space.
As one make way towards the staircase hall, the floor continues with the woven patchwork pattern, creating a sense of continuity and harmony throughout the different areas of the space. The attention to detail and thoughtful design choices make this corporate lobby a truly impressive and inviting space.
The design elements are intricately integrated into the sky, floor, and walls of the building, creating a cohesive and harmonious environment. The design aims to remind colleagues to stay true to the company's original mission of producing high-quality Velcro tapes. The overall effect is a beautiful and functional workspace that inspires creativity and productivity.
