The designer embraced the client's preferred metals and curves, making the shaped ceiling a focal point. Its irregular waves create a fluid aesthetic, enhanced by white, blue, and yellow lighting. Vibrant colors integrate each living scenario, shaping a unique home. A titanium coated curved walkway adds elegance with a high gloss finish, reflecting the building's exterior. Personalized materials, from the dining table to blue toned kitchen elements, evoke abstract art, elevating the space like a high end gallery.

Creating Magic with Brilliant Lighting: The social area features a ceiling of curved metal and translucent panels, seamlessly integrating the living and dining spaces. The lighting changes colors to suit different occasions, and the 'side-emitting' metal emits a subtle glow, enhancing textures and hues. Metal Facade Creating Aesthetics: The titanium-coated metal facade, inspired by the building's exterior, has gracefully curved edges, balancing strength and softness. Positioned in the walkway, it offers a view reminiscent of prestigious artwork, becoming a memorable highlight of the home.
Large space, empty apartment, metal, curve, tiles, translucent panels.
Materials: Titanium-coated metal, metallic paint, Italian tiles, large tiles, etc. The ceiling and walls extensively use metal materials, including titanium-coated metal and metallic paint. The designer transcended conventional constraints, infusing a novel and luxurious atmosphere. The dining table top, wall-mounted cabinets, and master bedroom door panels feature tiles selected by the owner, with abstract patterns that impart a distinct personal style to the space. The flooring in the social area is covered with large tiles to minimize seams and avoid segmented lines.
The curved and layered ceiling in the social area posed the most challenging aspect. The designer employed titanium-like metallic paint to minimize unsightly seams. Translucent panels replaced silicone light strips, allowing the saturated light to evenly illuminate the metallic paint, achieving the most ideal visual effect. The wavy titanium-coated metal in the walkway also required considerable effort. Due to the sensitivity of titanium coatings to angular transitions, creating a facade with consistent gleaming quality tested the skills and craftsmanship of the metalworkers.
The project finished in December 2023 in Taiwan.
The design that integrates the living and dining areas meets the client's social needs while also providing more opportunities for family interaction. To accommodate the family's shared interest in reading, the designer planned a spacious study with a 5-meter-long desk. The private areas are thoughtfully designed with a focus on independence and privacy, ensuring that everyone has their own space to enjoy solitude. The project delineates the boundaries between social and private areas, creating an ideal blueprint for a harmonious and fulfilling lifestyle.
The open-plan social area seamlessly integrates the living and dining rooms. Floor-to-ceiling windows and glass sliding doors enhance natural light, while metallic curved forms and dynamic lighting create a striking visual. The designer incorporated the client's preferences, crafting a unique and innovative image for the home, pushing beyond conventional boundaries. The family of four enjoys four separate bedrooms, with warm wooden tones creating a soothing ambiance. The bright study area, centered around a love for reading, offers a space for discussions and shared moments.
The client, who works in the tech industry, desires a home centered around metal and geometric elements. The continuity and inclusiveness of the lines shape a distinctive image, creating a unique home style that is difficult to replicate. Given the frequent gatherings during holidays and special occasions, the open plan connects the living and dining areas, increasing the capacity to accommodate guests while simultaneously expanding the sense of space to meet the residents' needs.
