This project creates a lasting home for a family of four, designed to grow with their children. Spanning 82.5 square meters, the space accommodates the couple and their two young daughters. The original layout lacked efficiency, disrupting flow and leaving areas underutilized. The redesign improves spatial use, aligns with traditional principles, and ensures a flexible, comfortable home that will support the family for years to come. The goal is to enhance space efficiency, address Feng Shui concerns, and craft a flexible, comfortable home that can support the family through the years.

Starting from the facade, the designer presents all six sides of the space in a comprehensive manner, and the sight converges naturally at the junction of each wall. When viewed individually, all sides flow smoothly, and when viewed as a whole, they are in harmony with each other. Using the beams and columns of the ceiling to naturally divide the space field, and decorates the edges and angles of the beams and columns through the arc to resolve the geomantic problem again, making the vision more soft.

Before the design of dining area, considering the young age of the owner's children, the need to place cameras to look after the young children, and the owner has the habit of collecting vintage wines, the designer will integrate the line outlet and food preparation storage into the dining cabinet, which is not only convenient to use, but also can keep the table clean, and reserve the glass display space next to provide the owner to display and store wines. Besides, the outer frame of the original cabinet is packed to integrate the overall sense of space. At the same time, the woodworking method is used to make the end of edge more secure. The whole is like the textured mini bar, supplemented by tea mirror and white wooden grille, so that the space line can spread to the kitchen and connect the kitchen space.
The project started in May 2024 and finished in September 2024 in Taiwan.
The designer extends the fallout area horizontally to lengthen the use scope of vestibule visually. Furthermore, the wooden grille and stone grain of TV wall, as well as the stone brick of the inked landscape painting with sofa back wall of the leather cloth, with the sofa cabinet and drawer of half waist are not only artistic but also have the function of storage, while broadening the vision of sofa back wall, and make the living room look more tidy.
The original house had four rooms, but to accommodate the owner's desire for a larger master bedroom and a dressing room for his wife and two young daughters, the designer reconfigured the layout. The bedroom door was repositioned, and a sliding door was added between the dressing room and the master bedroom, creating a more organized and functional flow. This design ensures an easy transition from dressing room to bedroom while enhancing the mood for sleep. For Feng Shui considerations, the bed was placed against a wall with extended fabric accents and a grey wall panel with silver trim, adding softness to the space.
