Residential Apartment for Senzhiwu Interior Design
The design centers on the concept of gradual change, bringing depth and character to a simple space. To align with the owner's preference for minimalism while enhancing visual layers, the design carefully integrates color and material transitions. A palette of white and gray is layered with subtle black accents to create depth, while the TV wall and kitchen island feature the same gray-toned stone with a gradual transition. Warmth is introduced through wood textures and soft curved lines, balancing simplicity with a sense of comfort.

To create a gradually changed aesthetic in a simple modern style, the bottom of the TV wall is covered with gray gradually changed marble, and the grille shape extends to the side; then the facade of side curved lines in the second layer is stacked. The art paint is used due to its meticulous characteristics, arranged on the sofa background wall, U-shaped display wall of dining room and corridor wall to create a simple and magnificent atmosphere.

In order to create a functional home environment, the storage design is the focus. The entryway is planned with arc display cabinet, and the side extends to the dirty clothes wardrobe area. The right side of the door is the dressing mirror and shoe cabinet, shielding the weak current box and switch box. Partial collocation of light wood grain laminate for display and storage, injects warm atmosphere. The side wall of the middle island creates a U-shaped wall to display the small objects collected by the owner and add a sense of living art.
Master bedroom design is also the key, and the U-shaped headboard design is a highlight, which needs to show the natural arc through brilliant techniques. The headboard of the bed combines the rural color with the foggy color, and the wood paint shows the careful stacking of the gradually changed color. The aluminum strip lamp is combined with the curved edge, and the warm visual feeling enhances the rest atmosphere of the space. Together with the different material connection techniques of titanium plated wall lamp, it meets the fashion style and practical function of visual lighting at the same time.
The project started in June 2024 and finished in September 2024 in Taiwan.
The living area is an open space, the floor-to-ceiling windows introduce abundant lighting, and the open kitchen design makes the space more spacious and enlarged. The design of the middle island serves as a division between the living room, kitchen and dining area, and also serves as an interactive field for the emotional cohesion of relatives and friends during holidays. In addition, a multi-functional room is planned behind the sofa, reserved for future baby bedroom use.
In the design of TV wall, the wood base is made firstly, then pasted with marble, and then connected the grille facade to form a flat shape. The second floor of TV wall connects the square plane to the left arc corner, echoing the arc inspiration of the overall space. Combined with the light strip lighting mode, in addition to the lighting function, the TV wall becomes the focus of the space.
The design concept of "gradual change" is the focus of this case. In order to enhance the visual level and create a characteristic home field in the simple space, from color to material arrangement, all echo the concept of gradual change. In terms of color, the white and gray colors are stacked, and some black embellishment is integrated to present the visual level. In terms of material, the TV wall and the middle island use the same gray gradually changed stone.
