The design of Secrets and Impression Moxche focused on sustainability, cultural authenticity, and innovation. Local materials like Mayan stone and ornamental wood were paired with Ceppo di Grey flooring and large-format glass for seamless indoor-outdoor harmony. Spaces were aligned with the winter solstice for cultural relevance, while native vegetation enhanced privacy. Functional zoning optimized guest flow, and sustainable practices minimized environmental impact.
The hardest challenge was maintaining a human scale while balancing cultural authenticity with modern luxury Aligning the entrance with the winter solstice required precise calculations to honor Mayan traditions. Ensuring intimacy in a large-scale project demanded thoughtful design of spaces like hallways and dining areas. External factors included environmental laws, while the team blended local materials with advanced technologies to achieve a sustainable and culturally respectful design
The project began in 2018 in the Riviera Maya and was completed in late 2023. Located within the Corasol community, Secrets and Impression Moxche set new standards in luxury and sustainability. Its innovative design and cultural integration have been showcased in architectural and hospitality publications, establishing it as a benchmark in the industry.
Secrets and Impression Moxche offer a seamless luxurious experience, blending nature, culture, and comfort. Guests enjoy hallways lined with native stone, restaurants with stunning views, private relaxation areas, a rooftop wedding gazebo, and a spa with personalized treatments. By harmonizing natural elements and modern luxury, the resort creates an immersive, unique, and welcoming experience that redefines relaxation and hospitality.
This project used qualitative research to merge luxury, sustainability and cultural authenticity Objectives included honoring Mayan heritage and maximizing comfort. Methods involved site analysis, cultural studies and material testing. Data came from local interviews, environmental studies, and simulations Results highlighted seamless integration of nature and modern design, emphasizing cultural alignment and eco-conscious practices, setting a new hospitality standard that inspires sustainable architecture
Secrets and Impression Moxche draw inspiration from the rich Mayan culture and the natural beauty of the Riviera Maya, blending luxury, sustainability, and authenticity The entrance aligned with the winter solstice honors ancient traditions while local materials and contemporary design create a unique experience Focused on functionality, sustainability and harmony with nature, the project redefines hospitality setting a new benchmark in architecture and design
