Villa Residence for Liang Zhuomin
Inspired by the fluid expanse of Taihu Lake and the dynamic essence of the Olympic spirit, this project redefines urban elegance. Curved architectural lines evoke rhythmic movement, complemented by full-screen glass curtain walls and L-shaped corner balconies offering 270-degree panoramic views. The landscape unfolds through a triadic courtyard system, featuring a central water feature, an infinity pool, and a harbor-style entrance. A near 2000 sqm clubhouse integrates a heated pool and library, while villa units pioneer private elevators and basements, crafting a seamless blend of luxury.

This hyper-fluid complex pioneers parametric regionalism, translating Taihu Lake's waves into 7 gradient Bim facades with 0.08mm-precision curved glass. The 270-degree glass curtain walls and L-shaped balconies redefine urban sightlines, while the "Three Courtyards, Nine Realms" landscape digitally reincarnates Jiangnan poetry. The 12m cantilevered infinity pool combines hydrodynamic simulations with post-tensioned concrete, achieving 23% higher structural efficiency than conventional solutions.

The design emerged through an iterative process blending parametric modeling and site-specific analysis. Inspired by Taihu Lake's fluidity, the team employed advanced cad tools to craft flowing curves and glass curtain walls. Landscape design utilized 3D simulations to integrate water features and greenery seamlessly. Full-scale mockups refined the villa's private elevators and basements, ensuring precision. Materials like high-strength glass and steel were selected for durability and elegance.
Key paradoxes resolved: 1. Fluid vs. code compliance: modular 3D-printing enabled mass-customization within standardization; 2. Spectacle vs. livability: micro-climate simulations tailored unit layouts to solar/wind patterns; 3. Tradition vs. Innovation: ML-extracted garden "DNA" informed contemporary spatial syntax; 4. Multidisciplinary coordination: proprietary BIM system synchronized 23 teams across 6 time zones.
This project is located in Wuxi, Jiangsu. It was designed from 2023 and will be fully completed by 2026. Part of it will be completed and put on sale in December 2024.
Spatial choreography enables 4D navigation: 1.Biomimetic canopies guide movement via light gradients; 2. Stacked atriums generate parallax views through 14 degrees sloping greenscapes; 3. Electrochromic glass "ripples" respond to pedestrian density; 4. AR-enhanced circulation reveals hidden cultural layers. The anti-gravity roof channels rainwater into interactive cascades, reducing drainage load by 41%.
Pioneering generative protocols: - AI cross-referenced 11 classical gardens with modern ergonomics; - CFD-optimized clustering cuts energy use 22%; - Blockchain tracks 98% local materials; - 3D-printed formwork slashed construction waste 65%. 3 patents achieved, including cold-bent glass techniques (0.08mm precision) and a BIM conflict-detector reducing coordination errors 78%.
cfd-mapped Taihu Lake ripples and Olympic motion data fuel the design: Athletes' kinetic patterns inform roof profiles, while AI-reconstructed cormorant fishing trajectories shape suspended corridors. Machine learning analyzed 2,300+ Jiangnan motifs, synthesizing Suzhou embroidery patterns into parametric modules. The breakthrough lies in quantizing water's ephemerality, 89 fluid equations govern facade curvature, creating China's first architectonic "liquidscape".
