the overview design was first draft in freehand , then transfer into AutoCAD to get it's proper layout. and ultimately build and render the 3D models with sketchup & vray.
Designing for a compact, transit-adjacent space demanded strategic use of technology and form. The curved video wall addressed spatial constraints by optimizing vertical visibility, ensuring the store stood out amid visual clutter while serving as a sustainable alternative to disposable signage. Durable, locally sourced materials were prioritized to withstand high foot traffic, aligning with circular design principles.
The design process started in June 2024. Videowall was fabricated in Shenzhen. Renovation started in September 2024 and completed in October 2024 in ION Orchard Singapore.
The result is a retail environment transcending transactional space, offering a multisensory journey where customers “drink their way” through color, light, and personalization. By merging digital allure with tactile engagement and sustainable practices, Montigo’s store has become a landmark of experiential retail - driving footfall, dwell time, and emotional connection to the brand while setting a benchmark for eco-conscious retail design.
The primary intent was to create a dynamic, interactive environment that mirrors Montigo’s ethos of individuality, vibrancy, and environmental stewardship. Key goals included: Elevating the in-store customization journey through tactile and digital touchpoints. -Capturing attention from fast-moving commuters. -Reinforcing brand identity through spatial aesthetics. -Minimizing environmental impact. The result is a retail environment transcending transactional space, offering a multisensory journey where customers “drink their way” through color, light, and personalization.
The store’s architectural language draws direct inspiration from Montigo’s thermal bottle silhouette, translating its ergonomic curvature into a full-scale spatial experience. The undulating facade and interior layout echo the bottle’s fluid form, creating a tangible connection between product and environment. The curved video wall emerged as a kinetic reinterpretation of Montigo’s customizable ethos.
