This project relates to the interior design of the own office, with the objective of investigating the potential of spatial characteristics through a bold trial. The team aspires to create a conceptual area featuring an inner street ambiance within a constrained physical environment, and emphasize the deliverables in respect of sound, lighting, and electrical systems. This project serves as an experimental exploration of strategy and the implementation of functional operations.

The transition of the wood finish from a light brown to a deep chestnut, along with the shift in the metal elements from a matte to a reflective surface, enhances the color depth of the environment. The adjustment of the lighting color temperature is incorporated. The alternating use of cool and warm light sources adds dynamism and vitality to the overall color palette. This approach delivers a visual experience that is cohesive yet diverse, reconciling with the ambiance of the inner street.
A collection of team logos was developed in various styles, along with visual elements such as a comic rendition of the team portrait. A critical consideration during the design process was how to seamlessly incorporate these visual designs into the overall space, ensuring they not only emphasize the cultural identity but also align with the overarching aesthetic of the environment. Achieving an equilibrium between spatial arrangement and visual communication was essential.
The project was officially initiated in July 2024 and successfully concluded in February 2025 in Xi an.
The property was designed with two spacious rooms, each measuring 5.5 meters in height. The designer intended to create a multifunctional experimental area that combines office, entertainment, meeting, and experiential elements within the constraints of the existing space. The initial layout of the property has been transformed by incorporating inner street design, resulting in a staggered configuration that enhances the capacity of the interior space and accommodates a variety of uses.
The variety of spaces and the dynamic configuration of the building often lead individuals to overlook its identity as an office, which aligns perfectly with the objectives set by the team. The vibrant neon cityscape coexists with the warmth of a home. This design not only disrupts the uniformity typically associated with traditional office spaces but also delivers an engaging experience, allowing individuals to appreciate the excitement of creative interactions within the workplace.
The office setting should not be limited to conventional format, particularly for a team focused on spatial design. Their workspace ought to embody diversity and foster innovative thought. The design was inspired from a focus to craft an agile, open, and inclusive environment, with a view to transcending the limitations of traditional functional zoning and embracing a more adaptable design language.
