Production Technology

Sailormoon chair by Asthetique, V lighting by Asthetique, Penguin chairs by Asthetique All furniture and lighting was created and custom made special for this project.

Design Challenge

The main problem of futurism projects is the feeling of coldness. Our task was to create - a cozy futurism.

Project Duration

The project started in May 2018 and finished in July 2019. The restaurant is located at: 2 Khodynsky Boulevard, Russian Federation, Moscow, 125167

Operation Flow

This restaurant is already open for guests and successfully operates under the guidance of a restaurateur - Kira Baybakova.

Research

We studied the many futuristic movements of the 20th century to understand and create a restaurant in the style of "modern futurism". The greatest influence on us was made by the book "Dune" - this determined the main trend of the restaurant - to create the feeling of being on another planet.

Inspiration

We wanted to convey energy, speed, strength and dynamism to give the guests an opportunity to experience new emotions and futuristic vibes. Clear, but unusual geometry served as an important principle in the creation of this space. We used streamlined shapes, curved lines and asymmetrical angles. Huge silver Martian goddesses like figures are installed on symmetric columns at the entrance. They can be easily placed in the decorations of the Hollywood movie about new civilizations. The interior does not press with its seriousness, but on the contrary inspires and gives wings.

Polyot Restaurant has been a Platinum winner in the Interior Space and Exhibition Design award category in the year 2019 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Platinum A' Design Award is recognized for honoring designs that stand at the forefront of creativity and innovation. It is the highest accolade bestowed by the A' Design Awards, acknowledging works that blend remarkable innovation with impactful societal contributions. These designs not only showcase exceptional artistic and technical proficiency but also highlight their creators' commitment to advancing the boundaries of art, science, design, and technology. Recipients of this award are celebrated for their role in shaping the aesthetics and trends of our time, contributing significantly to the enhancement of quality of life and promoting sustainable development.
