Restaurant for Shanghai Luyun Business Management Center
The project is a hotpot restaurant, located in Chengdu, China. The design inspiration originates from the harmonious co-existence between human and nature on Neptune. The restaurant is organized with seven design themes to illustrate stories on Neptune. The concepts of film and television, art, science and technology, decorative original design of furniture, lamps, tableware, etc., provide dramatic immersive experience to visitors. Material collocation and color contrasting create space atmosphere. Mechanical installation art is applied to enhance space interaction and consumer experience.

Unique Properties
The project is located in a commercial complex of the new area of Chengdu of Sichuan. The form of the project is hotpot restaurant, with a floor area of 506 square meters. In order to promote the brand popularity and attract consumers, They redefine dining space: a dramatic five-sense experience is created by referring to the elements in the fields of film and television, art, science, technology and design. An all-around upgrade is made from the senses of sight, hearing, smell, taste and touch.

Production Technology

Design Challenge
Such commercial complex is located in urban development area. In weekdays, the customer flow is small and the economic benefit is sluggish. Moreover, the project is on the 4th floor, and there are restaurants with the same industrial condition on the same floor. Party A worries about the future development of the restaurant so that he asks to follow the following three principles: building a Chengdu high-quality restaurant with limited budget and ensuring the promotion of brand popularity; breaking the traditional dining space pattern; being unique and insisting on originality.

Research
The city of Chengdu, where the project located, is famous for energetic young generation and their consumption abilities. By field research on hotpot restaurants in Chengdu, there exists a common problem that to some extent the space design is lack of conception and innovation. It’s essential to attract consumers by renewing brand spaces. Based on brand localization strategy, it’s critical to enhance sense of immersion, narration and creativity in dining space design.
Inspiration
Since the resources on the earth are exhausted, the human beings have never stopped the exploration of Neptune. The design inspiration comes from the scene the human co-exist in harmony with the creatures on Neptune. The dominant hue of the space is International Klein Blue, representing the severe weather and life marks on Neptune. The unprecedented novelty and experience are reflected via the atmosphere created by interactive artistic mechanical device. The ceiling lamps are designed with the concept of Prince Rupert's Drop, highlighting the mystery of the creatures on Neptune.
