Production Technology

With regard to construction materials, the partial wall decorated with the think slates has been converted into a dignified TV wall that broadens the sense of sight in the house. The sunlight scattering through the wood grille and plants adorned alongside the window accordantly corresponding to the walls, which are composed of natural paints and rice straws, that are decorated behind the sofa and in the tea room spawns the calmed, plain, and slow-living atmosphere widespread in the house.

Project Duration

The project finished in Jan 2017, Taichung City, Taiwan.

Operation Flow

The designer incorporates the natural elements into the cool textures of construction materials, thus enveloping a home with a warm vibe that physically and mentally soothes everyone while coming home after a tiring day.

Research

Beyond the ideas of interior design, the designer hope that the house owner could relieve from the worrisome and tiring work, and furthermore slow down to enjoy the quality of life.

Inspiration

Material homes of quality of nature do not merely bring natural elements into homes, but blend the local environment characteristics of nature so to carry out creation inventively. Japanese Zen style as the design principle of this interior design project develops a natural, plain and slow-living atmosphere, in which people can sit spontaneously and feel the warm embrace by natural elements.

Slow Living Residential Apartment has been a Iron winner in the Interior Space and Exhibition Design award category in the year 2019 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition.
