Production Technology
Materials: Wood carving, art painting, large art installation, marble background wall, bronze and stone carving.
Design Challenge
The challenge is to arrange the super aluminum grating structure and patterns of auspicious clouds, which is also a technical experiment and breakthrough. In the lobby, a super-large LED screen (16m x 9m) is firstly used to show its senses of technology and shock. By simulating the image of the Yellow River running through the whole space, the way to use site-responsive elements enables the space to convey a poetic imagination and perception, thus welcoming people to enjoy the artistic place.
Project Duration
The project started and finished in June 2019 in Jinan.
Operation Flow
Negotiation area, the area of lounge and children playing are linked as a fully functional humanistic living pavilion. The whole space has a modest decoration with rhythm. The main hues of elegant brown color and plain wooden color form an integration of Oriental charm and modern art through a unique design, thus creating an attractive spirit. In brief, people can enjoy the traditional rhythm of magnificence and elegance.
Research
Jinan is the gateway to the Yellow River. The mighty river starts from the mountains faraway and runs through many provinces and autonomous regions on its way to the Bohai Sea. And the length of the Yellow River running through Jinan reaches 183 km. Inspired by the Chinese civilization and famous landscapes like Mount Tai, Yellow River and Baotu Spring in Jinan, the design intends to create a poetic space that fuses Oriental culture with the beauty of natural landscapes.
Inspiration
