Against the creamy-white marble background at the entrance to the Sales Center, a half-arc, purple landscape marble emulates form of a small boat in a skillful way as if a fishing boat slowly approaches in the misty spray under a peak. The Negotiation Area features sinking couches where customers can sit around. With an atomized fireplace embedded on ground as the center.

Production Technology

Followingthis idea, designers activate interaction between space and man by means ofvarious derivatives of water. As an innovation of designers, skylight of thenegotiation area is made of fishing net, forming a large, breathable and lively environment sculpture.

Design Challenge

This is a resort project in the public with specific insight, preference anddistinction. It does not build any fancy, complex scenic spots. Instead, all ofits positioning and spaces focus on “holiday” lifestyles, showing and offeringan unprecedented lifestyle which lead people to an emotional field and wakethem up to cherish friendship.

Research

Locatedin Guilin, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Fireplace Valley is surrounded bygreen hills and fields crisscrossed by footpaths with crows and barks everywhere. It’s onceappraised by CCTV as the most beautifulplace to observe the Mid-Autumn moon. It boasts its drinking water and an annualaverage temperature of around 19℃.

Inspiration

Lightfishing is a folk way of fishing at night in Yangshuo. Designers incorporate such lively folkways of fishing beside Lijiang River into the prelude of spatial symphony. Lightfixtures at the reception end also employs local traditional bamboo weavingtechniques of Guilin.Wave-likeceiling fills the space with watery melody and rhythm. Designers activate interaction between space and man by means of various derivatives of water.

Project Overview

Fireplace Valley Sales Center has been a Golden winner in the Interior Space and Exhibition Design award category in the year 2020 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Gold A' Design Award is granted to designs that demonstrate a high level of innovation and a significant impact on their intended audience. Recognized as a major achievement by the A' Design Awards, these designs are characterized by their visionary approach and the exceptional skill of their creators.
