Hotel Reception Center for WJ Design
As a reception center, the design concept of this project is to establish a strong connection between architecture and nature. In order to create a natural interior, designers use different elements to design the space, such as mountains, water, clouds, bamboo. In terms of indoor layout, they try to take the space as the frame, take the environment as the scenery, make the fragmented landscape scene into the scene, and compress and freeze the relaxed and comfortable feeling brought by the resort, so as to form a harmonious state of symbiosis with nature.

As a reception center, the design idea of this project is to establish a strong connection between construction and nature. In order to create a sense of nature indoor, designers used different elements to design the space, such as mountain, water, clouds and bamboos. They used different spatial heights and width base on the space functions and find a balance between the construction and the nature.

Designers chose the most natural materials, use the original texture and primary colors of the material to create new ideas. For example, the front desk of lobby was made of a century-old wood through a special cut. It is plain and nice. Visitors do not only see the original annual rings on the desk but also feel the respect that they shall have to the great nature.
Taking life and vacation as the base point, the space is designed to create a vacationing atmosphere. With the change of the height and width of the terrain, designers try to take the space as a frame and take the natural environment as the scene to form a harmonious symbiosis with nature. When visitors come, whether they walk along the bar or sit in the relax area, they can always look far away or take a glance and see different scenery.
The project started in March 2019 in Deqing and finished in August 2019 in Deqing.
The glass wall extends visitors' views from the indoor cloud-shaped lanterns to the distant mountains, to create a casual, relaxed atmosphere, so people here can really calm down and relax, also enjoy the peace.
The project is located in Moganshan Scenic Area, one of the top four summer resorts in China. It is a paradise located in the Yangtze River Delta. The reception center is located at the foot of the mountain and surrounded by mountains. We did not want to damage the natural environment so we tried to create a connection between interior and exterior environment by using a lot of local elements such as water, cloud, bamboo, and mountain.
