The importance of banyan trees in this place is emphasized by combining architectural space with street and landscape to provide a place for public activities.
In this project, the architect exploring the basic method of the transformation of the old architecture: a starting point to shape the place instead of just the transformation of the internal space. So that the architecture becomes a part of the environment, together with the landscape and streets to form a part of community life.
Based on the banyan tree on the site, the project proposes a comprehensive environmental strategy to reshape the relationship between architecture, context and landscape, people activities and crowded street traffic. It forms an important public space in the environment of the historical district.
